My Jackson ancestors, John and Susanna Jackson Jackson, were among the Quaker families from Chester County to settle in or near Bellvu in 1783-84. John returned to the United States in 1792, to Baltimore MD, and his wife and children followed soon after. While they were in Canada, my paternal 2nd great grandfather, Thomas Jackson, was born in 1788. I only found this out, earlier this year. Wish I had known about this when I last drove through St. Andrews and St. Stephen some 50 years ago.
