
What We Do
Beaver Harbour Community Venture Ltd. is a non-profit, charitable
organization. Our objectives are as follows:
- To bring together those people interested in history and especially the
history of Beaver Harbour, NB and it’s historically associated territory.
- To discover, procure, collect, preserve, display, and interpret material
of historical value associated with the area; to encourage and assist in the
writing of histories and historical essays and the recording of personal
reminiscences; to disseminate information by way of lectures, pictures and
discussions, and by radio, T.V., internet, newspapers, festivals and other
means to awaken general public interest.
- To preserve historic buildings, monuments, lands and waters and their
environment
- To retain old markers and install new ones on historic buildings, sites
and areas
- To have a continuing interest in such current events as may be part of
history yet to be written, and to record them, in journal or other form, with
photographs and sound accompaniment when practical
- To do all such things ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the
above charitable objectives
BHCV Currently operates the Beaver Harbour Community Center and Archive at 18
Quaker Lane in Beaver Harbour. The building is available to the public for
rental, and is equipped with a Kitchen, two washrooms, as well as plenty of
tables and chairs. Click
